Queensland Shows Free Volunteers Webinar
This bulletin is a reminder of the upcoming Webinar that Dr Ruth Knight is hosting for the benefit of the Queensland Agricultural Shows at our request.
Over the past 12 months QCAS has been warned on many occasions that one of the major concerns for our Agricultural Shows is gaining the support of volunteers and retaining these volunteers into the future.
I am astounded that with this being one of the major concerns of our shows and having 16,000 members, 14,000 volunteers, and over 1,500 management committee members, that less than 30 are interested in viewing a Webinar from your own computer/tablet/smartphone from anywhere in Australia relating directly to the issues that your Societies have put at the top of their priority list.
Please pass this Bulletin on to anyone in your organisation who may be involved in working with volunteers at your shows. Your support is essential and greatly appreciated. Please get the registrations in for this free Webinar.
Volunteers help to keep many organisations sustainable and viable.
But recruiting and keeping good volunteers can be challenging.
To have success, you need to understand the easy ways to recruit, retain and recognise volunteers – the 3 Rs.
As mentioned in the QCAS Bulletin last week, I am offering you the opportunity to attend a FREE training seminar about how to recruit, retain and recognise volunteers on
Monday March 2nd 6:30 - 7:30pm AEST
In this webinar you will discover
• Who volunteers are and what motivates them
• Where to find volunteers
• Why volunteer retention should be part of your plan for success
• The top 10 most successful strategies to keep your volunteers coming back
• The risks that every organisation has, and what to do about them
• 10 low cost ways to acknowledge and appreciate your volunteers
• What an exit interview is and the role they play
Your presenters are:
Dr Ruth Knight who is a leadership and performance coach and has been working with nonprofit organisations and volunteer coordinators for over 20 years, and
Leonie Bryen is the Resource Development and Research Officer at Volunteering Queensland and has a wealth of experiencing working with volunteers and nonprofit organisations.
