Fleurieu (Strathalbyn) Campdraft

Organised by the Fleurieu Campdrafting Club, the Strathalbyn Campdraft is the second draft on the South Australian Calendar. Being so close to Adelaide it is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the sport to come down and watch the action.

This draft is unique in that it is run on private property with a bare paddock transformed into a campdraft arena for the weekend. 

The club truly appreciates the continued support it receives from landowners Richard & Will Ness and their families. Not only for the use of the land but all the work put in by them leading up to, during, and after the event.

The Strathalbyn Draft has now run 3 drafts at the Ness property and each year it becomes more popular, with competitors coming from all over SA, VIC and NSW to compete.

The club is also grateful for the wonderful band of Sponsors, Cattle Donors, transporters, water trucks, yardmen and volunteers all of which play a vital part in creating without a doubt one of the major horse events on the Fleurieu Peninsula

Saturday hosts all the classes from juniors to open and ends with a meal and some laughs with our charity auction and a calcutta of the Sat Novice Final.

Sunday sees the Juniors, Maidens, Novice and the conclusion of the 2 round  Open.
