Keith Campdraft

 

 

 

Early  in  2010 a group of people from Keith, Tintinara and Willalooka got together with the view of holding  a Campdraft in the district. A committee was formed and the Keith and District Campdraft Club was established.

With great support from the Keith Show Society the perfect venue located right in the township of Keith of the old Rodeo ground  at the Keith Showground was selected. After many working bee’s and lots of hard work the grounds were now ready to host the inaugural Keith& District Campdraft in October.2010

Since this first event the club has gone from strength to strength having built a permanent  arena backyards and  the “camp” the Keith Campdraft Committee can now  proudly say we have some of the best facilities on the SCA campdraft circuit

The community has embraced the concept of this event with many helping at working bee’s and providing sponsorship to help finance the Campdraft . This annual event has been greatly received by competitors and has attracted riders  from as far afield as Wagga Wagga , Broken Hill, Leigh Creek many parts of Victoria as well as many local South Australian competitors.

We predict that the campdraft will attract over 200 visitors to Keith for the weekends of the draft

There are events for everyone with Junior, Juvenile, Maiden Encourage, Open and Novice classes featured on the programme.
